I recently stayed at Lake Edge Residences for a wedding dressing session, and the experience was absolutely wonderful. From the very first call, Mrs. Shamali and her husband were attentive and incredibly accommodating. Even though I needed the villa just for a day and a half which they don’t usually offer, especially on weekends they were kind enough to create a package just for me, which I truly appreciated. Their caretaker, Sunil, was also fantastic and very helpful and made sure everything was taken care of during our time there. The villa itself was spotless and had everything we needed comfortable bedding, full utilities, and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The surroundings added to the charm and made the whole experience feel even more special. It’s a beautiful place with genuinely lovely hosts. I’d definitely love to come back for a longer stay. Thank you again to Mrs. Shamali, her husband, and Sunil for making it such a great experience!

We really enjoyed our stay. Villa is equipped with everything you need and with a spectacular view overlooking Bolgoda lake. It also perfectly well maintained & fully air conditioned. Lady who spoke on the phone may be the owner explained everything to the detail. Hope to stay again soon.

I stayed at this villa for two nights, and it was honestly amazing. It’s right by the lake with a private pool, and the open floor plan gives you incredible views while still feeling super private and peaceful. The villa looks exactly like it does in the photos — no surprises, just as beautiful in person. The owner was so sweet and checked in every day to make sure I had everything I needed, which I really appreciated. The caretaker was also really polite and respectful — he was around if I needed anything but never interrupted my downtime. Overall, it was the perfect little getaway spot, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing escape!

We had a fantastic Awurudu celebration here on May 1st. The villa was clean, fully air-conditioned, and had everything we needed—two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and a spacious living area. The garden, pool, and lake view were perfect for a relaxing evening. Shyamali (the owner) was kind and supportive, and Sunil (the caretaker) was very helpful and served us a delicious breakfast. Great value for money—highly recommended for family events or a peaceful getaway!

Excellent place with beautiful views and modern accommodation. Privacy is much better compared to other places, as the caretakers have separate accommodation. The caretaker was friendly and helpful, making our stay even more comfortable. The only minor downside is that there’s just one shower, but it wasn’t a big issue for us.

Our recent day outing with couple of families and friends was absolutely fantastic! This place is a hidden gem that exceeded all our expectations. The location is stunning, with beautiful scenery with the river that provided the perfect backdrop for our group getaway. The facilities were top-notch, catering to everyone's needs and ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience. What truly made this outing exceptional was the incredible service. The caretaker was so supportive and went above and beyond to assist us, and the host was incredibly welcoming and flexible, making us feel right at home. The location is amazing - it’s on the edge of the most beautiful lake with expansive views and the accommodation allows a truly immersive experience of the natural beauty because it’s all glass. The host Shamila is so kind, friendly and supportive; Sunil, the care taker so caring and attentive and the lady who cooks, creates THE most amazing food. Nothing is too much trouble for this amazing team. Thank you. We will definitely stay here again and cannot rate it highly enough. It’s clean, beautifully furnished and has everything you need for the most comfortable stay. Wonderful!

Best place for a small group of people to stat the night. There’s a small swimming pool, and enough parking space. The villa has 2 separate rooms and a living room/kitchen area. (All A/C) One room has a double bed, and the other room has a double bed and a single bed. So 5 people can sleep comfortably. There’s one bathroom upstairs, and a small washroom downstairs. Facilities available: a refrigerator, an oven, a microwave oven, TV with Netflix, a toaster, other cooking and dining utensils. The caretaker is very polite and helpful. You can discuss with him and arrange the meals from a nearby place. No hidden charges.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Lakes Edge Residence with 9 of my friends for a one-night getaway, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! Absolutely incredible! This villa exceeded all our expectations. The property is breathtaking, with spacious, beautifully decorated rooms and an incredible outdoor area. The outdoor area with the pool and garden was the perfect spot to unwind. The views were absolutely stunning. The location was peaceful. The staff were super helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. This place is a hidden gem. If you’re looking for comfort, and a truly relaxing getaway, this is the place! Highly recommend!

Me and my friends travelled to Sri Lanka from Uk for a 3 week holiday and stayed at many hotels and villas, I can easily say that the lakes edge was the best villa we stayed in. We were looked after by the owner, offered us breakfast for a really reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone who is thinking about booking the villa

A true gem of a place. Highly recommended. Great architecture and a very calming location. A really nice place to spend your time while relaxing with the strong breeze from the bolgoda lake. This modern house has every facility you wish for, 2 bedrooms, balcony, living area with open and fully equiped kitchen, one bathroom & one toilet. You get a 65" curved TV with dialog TV connection, the whole house is air conditioned. In the kitchen you have a large side by side double door fridge, microwave oven, blender, toaster and all the cutlery, glasses, cups & mugs you will ever need. You will also have a washing machine that you can use. The pool is cleaned once everyday which is sized 10ft x 20ft. The caretaker sunil is always a bell-ring away and he will happily attend to any help you ask for at any given time. The lady who owns the property is also very nice and well mannered. The food is provided by a nearby house and it is very tasty and portions are very ample while the price is well worth & reasonable. If you want, you can cook your own meals or you can order from outside (ubereats, pickme food & own delivery restaurants). I must really say that this place is well worth for every penny you spend for and the rates are also supricingly reasonable. Surey this is the first visit of a many more to come.

Highly recommended villa for anyone looking for a peaceful gateway. I had an absolutely relaxing and an amazing weekend recently with my friends in the location and this was my second time visiting the villa. The surrounding is so calming and breathtaking. The villa is fully furnished with modern equipments and all the facilities that you would require. The place looks even better than the posted pictures! The owner is very kind and friendly. Special thanks to the caretaker Sunil, who helped us out in everything! We even got to taste a dhal curry from Sunil which was top notch! The pool overlooking the lake is absolutely stunning and is an amazing addition to the villa! Overall, one of the best places to visit and relax!

What a amazing place to spend a weekend with friends and loved ones. Fridge, microwave, and gas stove are included. Villa is fully air conditioned, pool, aesthetics and the view of the bolgoda lake is superb. We'll surely visit again

We hosted a birthday party for a friend of mine last Friday, the villa has a spectacular view, highly recommended for small gatherings, excellent service and in the outskirts of Colombo..

My partner and I booked the villas for our birthdays and we were truly impressed and happy with everything at the villa. From the service to the cleanliness to the food to the hospitality, pretty much everything…I can only say thank you so very much for going above and beyond even with the decorations I wanted put up as a surprise for my partner! Ms. Shamila was so very sweet and accommodating and helped me out in every way possible. Sunil uncle the caretaker was super helpful and was always a call away for anything we needed, he even helped us out with the bbq dinner that we hosted for the family dinner and ended up tidying the place for us after they left. We would definitely visit again someday. Thank you so very much once again.

This is a wonderful and a gorgeous private villa in the suburbs of Colombo , in moratuwa , and could easily say one of the best and most homely but luxurious villas my wife and I have stayed over many times to celebrate special occasions and simply for leisure as well. Rooms are crisp clean and the entire property is kept in very high standard and the pool is cleaned every time we visited at the time of check-in . This place has a lovely care taker , very attention to detail and warm kind hearted old gentleman named Sunil . Privacy at this place is unparalleled compared to other villas we have been to cause Sunil never be disturbing unless he is been summoned to attend some matter by us . Owners are also very kind and attentive and always look in to the needs of ours if anything is requested and very friendly and easy to communicate with compared to many villa owners we have come across. Overall , this villa is one of the go to places of wife and mine given it always give a vibe of home away from home . 😇

Lakeside beauty We have been to Sri Lanka more than a dozen times, but never realized a hidden gem like this existed especially in this part of the island! A great stopover either on your way to the airport after exploring the island or on the way in. It's a private sanctuary nestled next to a tranquil lake. The owners have done a splendid job of tastefully architecting this place with a galore of Glass windows and furnishing it with super stylish elements. Since you have the whole villa to yourself (and assisted by a resident caretaker) you would feel like royalty! LOCATION: DINE + DRINK: This is a fully furnished villa, so you have access to a full-blown kitchen that is decked with state-of-the-art appliances and even has a lovely Oven! But in case you are not in the mood to cook, the caretaker can arrange for a delicious spread of local food cooked by a lady next door. A must-try! THE VILLA: The villa is spread between two floors and comes with two bedrooms. The master bedroom also has a lovely balcony with a spectacular view of the lake. The owners have spared no expense and added heavy-duty air-conditioners in all the rooms and living spaces. Nice touch! The Swimming pool by the lake is a wicked addition and you will never feel like getting out of it, especially at sunset. The villa has so many common areas where you could hang out and chill - like the lawns in the front, the Poolside, the patio at ground level, the beautiful balcony on the first floor, etc. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that works well all over the property, and the speed is good! Huge 65 Inch Smart TV dishing out a wide variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in multiple languages

Very nice place. Extremely clean and looks like it was built recently. You get to rent out the whole place and there is a pool too.
