All aspects of our stay were excellent meals, room, and amazing environment by Bolgoda Oya. The entire property was very clean and well maintained. I spent a wonderful day here with my husband and parents. This is truly one of the best places we have ever been, and I highly recommend it. It’s a very calm and peaceful place to stay, right within the city, yet it feels just like home. Owner has thoughtfully provided every essential item, making our stay extremely comfortable. Rented the place for a bridal shower. It was beautiful , exactly as described . Property is perfect for a group . They've provided everything. I recently stayed at Lake Edge Residences for a wedding dressing session, and the experience was absolutely wonderful. From the very first call, Mrs. Shamali and her husband were attentive and incredibly accommodating. Even though I needed the villa just for a day and a half which they don’t usually offer, especially on weekends they were kind enough to create a package just for me, which I truly appreciated. Their caretaker, Sunil, was also fantastic and very helpful and made sure everything was taken care of during our time there. The villa itself was spotless and had everything we needed comfortable bedding, full utilities, and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. The surroundings added to the charm and made the whole experience feel even more special. It’s a beautiful place with genuinely lovely hosts. I’d definitely love to come back for a longer stay. We really enjoyed our stay. Villa is equipped with everything you need and with a spectacular view overlooking Bolgoda lake. It also perfectly well maintained & fully air conditioned. Lady who spoke on the phone may be the owner explained everything to the detail. Hope to stay again soon.

I stayed at this villa for two nights, and it was honestly amazing. It’s right by the lake with a private pool, and the open floor plan gives you incredible views while still feeling super private and peaceful. The villa looks exactly like it does in the photos — no surprises, just as beautiful in person. The owner was so sweet and checked in every day to make sure I had everything I needed, which I really appreciated. The caretaker was also really polite and respectful — he was around if I needed anything but never interrupted my downtime. Overall, it was the perfect little getaway spot, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing escape!

We had a fantastic Awurudu celebration here on May 1st. The villa was clean, fully air-conditioned, and had everything we needed—two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and a spacious living area. The garden, pool, and lake view were perfect for a relaxing evening. Shyamali (the owner) was kind and supportive, and Sunil (the caretaker) was very helpful and served us a delicious breakfast. Great value for money—highly recommended for family events or a peaceful getaway!

Excellent place with beautiful views and modern accommodation. Privacy is much better compared to other places, as the caretakers have separate accommodation. The caretaker was friendly and helpful, making our stay even more comfortable. The only minor downside is that there’s just one shower, but it wasn’t a big issue for us.

The location is amazing - it’s on the edge of the most beautiful lake with expansive views and the accommodation allows a truly immersive experience of the natural beauty because it’s all glass. The host Shamila is so kind, friendly and supportive; Sunil, the care taker so caring and attentive and the lady who cooks, creates THE most amazing food. Nothing is too much trouble for this amazing team. Thank you. We will definitely stay here again and cannot rate it highly enough. It’s clean, beautifully furnished and has everything you need for the most comfortable stay. Wonderful!

Best place for a small group of people to stat the night. There’s a small swimming pool, and enough parking space. The villa has 2 separate rooms and a living room/kitchen area. (All A/C) One room has a double bed, and the other room has a double bed and a single bed. So 5 people can sleep comfortably. There’s one bathroom upstairs, and a small washroom downstairs. Facilities available: a refrigerator, an oven, a microwave oven, TV with Netflix, a toaster, other cooking and dining utensils. The caretaker is very polite and helpful. You can discuss with him and arrange the meals from a nearby place. No hidden charges.

Me and my friends travelled to Sri Lanka from Uk for a 3 week holiday and stayed at many hotels and villas, I can easily say that the lakes edge was the best villa we stayed in. We were looked after by the owner, offered us breakfast for a really reasonable price. Would recommend to anyone who is thinking about booking the villa

A true gem of a place. Highly recommended. Great architecture and a very calming location. A really nice place to spend your time while relaxing with the strong breeze from the bolgoda lake. This modern house has every facility you wish for, 2 bedrooms, balcony, living area with open and fully equiped kitchen, one bathroom & one toilet. You get a 65" curved TV with dialog TV connection, the whole house is air conditioned. In the kitchen you have a large side by side double door fridge, microwave oven, blender, toaster and all the cutlery, glasses, cups & mugs you will ever need. You will also have a washing machine that you can use. The pool is cleaned once everyday which is sized 10ft x 20ft. The caretaker sunil is always a bell-ring away and he will happily attend to any help you ask for at any given time. The lady who owns the property is also very nice and well mannered. The food is provided by a nearby house and it is very tasty and portions are very ample while the price is well worth & reasonable. If you want, you can cook your own meals or you can order from outside (ubereats, pickme food & own delivery restaurants). I must really say that this place is well worth for every penny you spend for and the rates are also supricingly reasonable. Surey this is the first visit of a many more to come.

I had an absolutely relaxing and an amazing weekend recently with my friends in the location and this was my second time visiting the villa. The surrounding is so calming and breathtaking. The villa is fully furnished with modern equipments and all the facilities that you would require. The place looks even better than the posted pictures! The owner is very kind and friendly. Special thanks to the caretaker Sunil, who helped us out in everything! We even got to taste a dhal curry from Sunil which was top notch! The pool overlooking the lake is absolutely stunning and is an amazing addition to the villa! Overall, one of the best places to visit and relax!
